Ann Blackmore Goudy Scudmore, 86, of Englewood, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at home.
Ann was born August 18, 1940. She lived most of her life in West Milton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Scudmore, her son Scott Goudy, and her parents Evert and Mildred Blackmore and Jessie Blackmore.
She is survived by her children, Dawn Cauldwell of West Milton, Ohio, Steve (Amy) Goudy of Englewood, Ohio; and Brad (Erinn) Goudy of Troy, Ohio.
One of Ann’s greatest joys was being a grandmother. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Ashley (Nic) Rice of Casstown, Ohio; Emily (Zach) Toal of Tipp City, Ohio; Sarah Goudy (fiancé Mike Wells) of Kettering, Ohio; Blake (Grace) Cauldwell of Liberty Township, Ohio; Andrew (Michalla) Goudy of Troy, Ohio; Meagan (Will) Rice of Troy, Ohio; Abbie Goudy of West Milton, Ohio; Katie Goudy of West Milton, Ohio; and Daniel Goudy of West Milton, Ohio.
Her family continued to grow with the addition of her ten great-grandchildren.
Ann is also survived by her sisters, Beverly Helsinger and Jane (Marvin) Rue, all of West Milton, Ohio, along with many extended family members and friends.
Ann retired from Wright State University after a long career in the Biological Sciences Department. During those years, she formed many friendships and touched the lives of countless people.
She was a longtime member of Living Word Church, where she faithfully served as a greeter for many years as well as serving in the Hispanic Ministry. She loved welcoming people into her church and serving others.
She lived a life by modeling love, faith, and kindness which will continue in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Living Word Church in Vandalia, Ohio Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10 am followed by a celebration of life.
